Medium-Deep Chemical Peel

This is a medium depth chemical peel ideal for more mature, drier skin and an excellent treatment for the improvement of fine lines and wrinkles. The results of this peel are much more long-lasting, especially after a course of peels combined with skincare. The treatment is designed to remove old skin cells and promote production of new healthier skin cells, leaving the surface skin smoother and rejuvenated. This treatment costs £180 each at any of our luxurious clinics.

What is the treatment procedure?

Patients will be informed at their consultation of a specific skincare regime before the treatment to ensure skin is in optimal condition.

The procedure takes around 30 minutes - 1 hour per session. The skin is cleansed before the solution is applied to the treatment areas and then solution is applied in layers. When this is completed a post-peel mask will be applied and massaged into the skin.

Will it hurt?

The patient may feel a slight tingling or burning sensation during the procedure. This pain is however minimal with no sedation or anaesthetic needed. Some minimal discomfort may be felt following the procedure, it feels very much like slight sunburn.

What are the side effects of this treatment?

Your skin will tend to flake after 3 - 5 days. Not all patients shed skin in the same way. If you do start to peel, do not rub the skin harshly or use exfoliant products.

After having a TCA chemical peel your new skin will be sensitive to sunlight for at least 6-8 weeks afterwards. During this time it is very important to protect the new skin with sunscreens, hats and the avoidance of strong sunlight.

Superficial Chemical Peel

This is a superficial strength peel which acts as a deep exfoliate. The peel eliminates the surface layer of skin that has been damaged by many different factors such as exposure to the elements (sun, wind, pollution), alcohol or smoking.

This peel is ideal for tackling the problems of acne that normal face washes and cleansing regimes cannot deal with. Removing the surface layer of skin leaves the freshly revealed surface looking and feeling refreshed.

What is the treatment procedure?

No previous skincare treatment is needed prior to this peel and the procedure itself takes around 15 minutes. The skin is cleansed before the solution is applied in layers, once the first layer is dry another layer will be applied. Then a post-peel mask will be applied and massaged into the skin.

Will it hurt?

During the procedure the patient may experience a slight burning sensation, but this is very minimal. Following the procedure there will be a slight redness that will subside after around 12 hours. The day after the procedure the skin will start to feel smooth, tight and fresh.
